An alternative to Google Images? According to the developer of Imagey image searching can be improved, and Imagery is a prototype/proof of concept to highlight that.
Basically when you enter a search term, the results are displayed in the traditional manner, but with extra options visible when you hover over an image. The hovering displays the image details, such as image size and dimensions, and more interesting, the option to directly open the image on it’s own without the need to visit the web page itself.
