OneMileScroll is one long scroll, 1 mile to be exact, literally, with markers of actual height or physical distance of anything that does not exceed a mile long. So if you ever wanted to see how much you need to scroll on your own computer screen to reach the top of Burj Dubai or even the distance light travels in a nanosecond, OneMileScroll will answer that for you.

A nice feature the service offers is that it allows you to add heights or distances yourself, just make sure what you are adding is accurate and know that whatever is added is going to be approved at a later time by the site admin.

The scale used is 96 pixels for every inch, and using the Eiffel Tower (324 meters high) as an example, this means it would be 1,224,576 pixels high, and that’s exactly how much you need to scroll to find it. The process of claiming a site that you have built is pretty simple and straight forward, and I won’t be discussing much details about it as this is easily figured out by techies. What I consider more interesting is the benefits that a web developer/designer could get by letting the world know his involvement in a website.

The site is neat and easy to use, and people can vote for sites they like. More features to be soon added, such as site description, comments, and a Firefox extension. I’m always happy to discover the somehow hidden cool things a website has, and WhoBuilt.it has one; check out their users mosaic.

PageBoss is a multilingual (English, German, Italian, Turkish) service offering statistical data about a website. The service is straight forward and every thing happens on a single page. Enter the site URL and hit enter, the results start showing up starting with a summary that includes a screenshot, and followed by data from Google, Yahoo, Live, Alexa, Dmoz and others.
